Koi Images And Events - Photography By Kristina Fanelli
EST. 2009

Kristina has always been passionate about creating memories and getting the most out of life. Growing up she seemingly always had a camera, ensuring that the most important moments were more than just memories. A hunter gatherer of natural light and candid moments, she uses the art of photography to harness her talent and passion to capture valuable moments for her clients, friends and family.

Kristina’s heart has always driven her to serve and seeks opportunities to give back to her community. She has served on the board of a local nonprofit, works with various charitable organizations and also donates photography packages to silent auctions. Kristina loves her role as a homeschool mom to her son and in her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her (amazing) husband and listening to her favorite music. Her ultimate goal is to rescue all of the worlds animals in need (and witness all of her sports teams win more championships) but for now, she’ll settle for loving and spoiling her cat.

Kristina was several years into a career in the hospitality industry when her photography hobby developed into an exciting opportunity. She decided to start her own business in 2009, launching Koi Images and Events. In Japanese Culture (she’s half Japanese), the carp symbolizes courage and strength due to its ability to swim up a waterfall and Koi also means “affection" or "love".

Some photographers are blessed with a natural ability to capture the perfect shot, and this is evident by watching Kristina work. As her clients will testify, she is a natural with kids & animals and always seems to be in perfect position to capture the spontaneity in every shot. Kristina’s passion for photography has taken her everywhere from New York to California, Hawaii and the Bahamas. She is a published photographer and her images have been featured on the websites of Instyle Magazine, People Magazine and The Robb Report to name a few.

For Kristina, it isn’t just about creating beautiful images, its about creating a relationship. Her client base began as family and a small circle of friends, then expanded as a result of her ability to build trust and begin friendships with her referred customers, whom she’d never met before. She is truly honored to have the opportunity to photograph other families and events, helping others document their own memories.
